A Marine Surveyor’s Goal During the Survey…

Each surveyors responsibility is to discover problems with a vessel before it costs you money or potential injury! A qualified marine surveyor knows what to inspect. We advise any potential buyer that before you close, obtain a professional marine survey from an independent surveyor not involved with the sales transaction. Referrals from brokers and sellers is fine but remember there may be a bias to the report. We are a buyers’ surveyor, that means we work for you alone. Any information contained in the survey report is only provided and discussed with you, we do not share the information with anyone other than you. As boat owners we understand the trust you are placing in the surveyor to provide the most detailed information needed to make an educated decision on the purchase. Many of our clients are out-of-state buyers and therefor the purchasing decision is often based on our report. This is why our reports are very detailed and include many photographs. It is our goal that each buyer receive the same level and excellence in every report regardless of the size or expense of your purchase.

Consider This Before You Buy…

A detailed thorough marine survey of the vessel before you close places you, the prospective buyer, in an advantages position to negotiate a final selling price or to cover potential repair work. This can save you thousands of dollars and often offsets the cost of the marine survey. The information obtained from the report is invaluable to you the buyer.
